As Edgetech continues it’s series of nationwide FREE practical workshops, ‘Journey to C’, to help companies achieve a ‘C’ rating on ALL their replacement windows, there comes good news for joinery companies manufacturing vertical sliders, who may until now have assumed the Journey wasn’t for them. Alan Fielder, Director of Sales and Marketing for Edgetech explains why Mighton Products have joined the line up of co-operating systems companies for the ‘Journey to C’ events: “‘Journey to C’ has already proved to be very interesting to timber window manufacturers who seem hungry for information. They know that we cannot help them with thermal performance simulation reports or air leakage reports directly but the events are giving them a chance to have face to face meetings with the people who can. Mighton Direct’s Ecotilt system is a welcome addition to the ‘Journey to C’ line-up. This innovative system enables timber window manufacturers to manufacture vertical sliding sash windows with a completely authentic appearance but with the benefit of twenty first century operating hardware and features. This complete kit of extrusion and hardware allows joinery companies to make vertical sliders that, together with Super Spacer IGUs, will achieve Window Energy Ratings of ‘C’, ‘B’ or even ‘A’. Mighton will be working with our network of Dealership IGU manufacturers to offer ‘Journey to C’ delegates an easy road to compliance with timber vertical sliders.”
Mike Derham, Managing Director of Mighton, explains: “The PVC-U industry is well ahead of the Timber industry in recognising Energy Ratings as a powerful selling tool. Ecotilt is the answer as it’s the only Energy Rated window system available to the whole of the Timber Window Market. From a security perspective, Ecotilt is the only timber sash window system to have passed BS7950 Enhanced Security for Windows. We’re delighted to be supporting Edgetech’s ‘Journey to C’ to offer timber window companies the chance to catch up with PVC-U companies on the energy efficiency front, to stay ahead of the proposed future legislation, but also to maximise sales opportunities in the face of global warming.”
?Journey to C? continues in Coventry on 25th March; Lords on 31st March; At Bristol 9th April, the Eden Project in St Austell on 14th April and will sail on to Ireland to the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin on the 16th June and the Belfast Waterfront on the 28th June.?
