Edgetech employees Charity Photo Recently, the Edgetech team has shown its commitment to its community by supporting two extremely worthy causes.

In conjunction with our parent company Quanex, we’ve taken part in a charity drive to collect nappies and baby wipes for local parents in need.

Thanks to the kindness and dedication of Edgetech employees, 646 items were donated.

We’ve also raised funds for the British Red Cross Society’s Turkey Syria Earthquake Appeal.

Fourteen Edgetech staff members took part in sponsored walks of at least 425 miles – the distance between the company’s Coventry and Heinsberg facilities.

They each walked a minimum of 50,000 steps a day, five days a week, until they reached the targeted distance, measuring their progress on their phones.

Edgetech Managing Director Chris Alderson comments: “At Edgetech, like all Quanex companies, we’re proudly a part of something bigger.

“We’re part of a global supply chain, helping deliver millions of robust, sustainable, high-performing buildings around the world.

“But we’re also part of the community – local communities in Coventry and Heinsberg, but also an international community of businesses and individuals who want to do what they can to help people in need.

“I’m constantly blown away by the passion and generosity of the Edgetech team, and am hugely proud of everything they’ve done for some incredibly worthwhile causes.”
