Zenith Staybrite Ltd Chooses Super Spacer

Zenith Staybrite Ltd, one of the best known names in home improvements with a turnover in excess of £40 million, has named Super Spacer as its Warm Edge Technology of choice. Andrew Stone, Technical Services Manager of Zenith Staybrite Ltd explains why: “Zenith Staybrite Ltd has invested a lot of time, money and effort into creating a comprehensive range of green products, including energy efficient windows. We wanted to push the boundaries of our products’ performance and create a high specification window to meet our customer’s stringent security and energy saving expectations. The criteria we used to choose the right spacer for the job included performance, availability, price and practicality. Super Spacer allowed us to embrace the leading edge high performance technology we wanted without increasing the cost to the end user.

“Energy efficient products are clearly the future, especially as the next building regulations are almost certain to include a requirement for at least a C rated Window Energy Rating in the replacement window sector. We wanted to future proof our products and customers using those products by launching our Zenith Energy Saver Plus window now. The double glazing industry has always offered a more energy efficient option, but now we need to fine tune our products’ performance to meet future legislation and end user demand for greener goods.”

Edgetech wins place in Construction Products Association Showcase

Edgetech, the only dedicated Warm Edge Technology manufacturer in the UK, has secured a place in the Construction Products Association Innovation and Achievement Showcase 2009 for its Super Spacer TriSeal product. “We’re delighted to have been included in the showcase, taking our place along side other big names like Marley, Knauf Insulation and Hanson,” says Edgetech Managing Director, Andy Jones. “To win this accolade, we had to prove why TriSeal is different and innovative and the real benefits it offers the end user, namely its improvement in thermal conductivity over and above other Warm Edge products of up to 50%. With such tough competition across the entire construction industry, we’re thrilled that Edgetech is representing its customers in this field.”

Ian Lucas, Minister for Business at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills commented on the showcase: “I want to start by saying how encouraged and impressed I am by the resilience and determination construction firms have shown over the past 12 months. Edgetech I.G. Named in Inc. 5000 List for 3rd Consecutive Year

For the third year in a row, Edgetech I.G. has been recognised as one of Inc. 5000?s fastest growing companies in the United States with 19.5% sales growth from 2005 to 2008. The Inc. 5000 is an extension of Inc. magazine’s annual Inc. 500 list.

100th Installer Signs up to Super Spacer Dealership

Since its launch last year the Super Spacer Dealership from Edgetech, the only dedicated manufacturer of Warm Edge Technology in the UK, has gone from strength to strength as more companies enjoy the benefits of the level of business, sales and marketing support they receive as a Dealer. Alan Fielder, Director of Sales and Marketing at Edgetech explains: “We are thrilled that we now have 100 installers enjoying the benefits of our comprehensive Dealership initiative. We also have 14 sealed unit manufacturer Dealers and 46 window fabricator Dealers.

“The Super Spacer Dealership was set up to help sealed unit manufacturers, fabricators and installers sell more products and make more money. Installers in the Network have access to a 20 year warranty, fast track WER scheme, retail brochures, consumer DVDs, an easy to use plug in for installers’ websites on WERs and the opportunity to buy Super Spacer windows as standard from a Dealership Fabricator. All Dealership members can of course also use the scheme logo for their own marketing too.”

Edgetech Exhibits at G09 Wembley

Following on from the success it saw when it exhibited at the G09 Telford exhibition Edgetech is pleased to announce that it will also be supporting the Wembley show.

Edgetech Raises &pound1,589 for Cancer Research UK

Warm Edge Technology specialist, Edgetech, is pleased to congratulate the three employees that have raised &pound1,589 so far, for taking part in the nationwide event, Race for Life. Charlotte Davies, Natalya Vavan and Gemma Hinks ran the 5k Race for Life at Coombe Abbey in Coventry last Wednesday evening with 2500 other women. “The three of us dressed in pink 80’s style clothes and Gemma even braved a pair of wellies for the duration of the race!” says Charlotte Davies, Sales and Marketing Adviser at Edgetech. “We wanted to get involved in this worthwhile charity event for Cancer Research UK. The charity is the world’s leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research and supports research into all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 4,250 scientists, doctors and nurses. Over the past 10 years alone, thousands of lives have been saved through earlier detection and improved treatments. But there’s still a lot of work to do for the charity to achieve its aim of beating cancer.

“We’re still working to achieve our &pound2,000 fundraising target but are really grateful for all the support we’ve had from friends and colleagues so far.”

Treforest Glass Joins Edgetech's Super Spacer Dealership

Edgetech, the only dedicated Warm Edge Technology manufacturer in the UK, is pleased to welcome Treforest Glass to the Super Spacer Dealership. “Treforest is celebrating 25 years in business this year so we decided it was the right time to review our customer offering to ensure we were still exceeding customer expectations,” explains Terry Potter, DGU Manager of Treforest Glass. “We realised that while we were selling a quality product for an affordable price with great service to boot, we needed to future proof our products and give our customers even more of an opportunity to differentiate themselves from the competition. We were impressed with the Super Spacer product and as well as its energy efficiency benefits, we could see the potential it would give us to move from 1500 units a week to 2500. Signing up to the Super Spacer Dealership was a natural progression to demonstrate our commitment to the Super Spacer product and to providing our customers with the very best.

“With Edgetech’s support we also held a Super Spacer Dealership Seminar, for 19 people from 9 of our customer organisations. The objective was to highlight the benefits of the change to our customers and the feedback we received as a result of the day was great with a high level of interest and a substantial take up of the new specification.”

Edgetech Breaks Manufacturing Record

Edgetech, the only dedicated Warm Edge Technology manufacturer in the UK, saw its best manufacturing month yet, in June. Andy Jones, Managing Director of Edgetech explains: “Our existing customers and new companies turning to Super Spacer Warm Edge Technology certainly seem to be experiencing the green shoots of recovery we keep hearing about. We made enough Super Spacer for 350,000 sealed units in June which is more than any other month since we opened our state of the art Coventry manufacturing facility in 2007. This is not only good news for Edgetech, but also our customers who benefit from the further investment we can put into developing our products, marketing support, business support and service.

“Our growth shows the way the market is developing – more manufacturers of all materials are working to achieve windows with improved energy efficiency which Super Spacer has been helping fabricators achieve since 1989. More recently of course the focus is on getting the best energy ratings and Energy Saving Recommended status, which again we help our customers achieve. By investing in the necessary areas we not only offer customers support through excellent product performance but also through sales support to help them win new business, technical support to ensure a smooth transition from their previous spacer and marketing support for their supply chain to support the sales process through to the homeowner. Not many component suppliers offer the level of support we do, but hopefully breaking these latest records is evidence it’s working for our customers.”
